If one was to ask where is a good place for seafood, at first thought, the answer is a simple i don't know. Give it a while and you will soon realise that maybe a piece of paper might not be enough to list it all down.
While, Bangsar Seafood may not have been on my piece of paper if you asked me last week, it would probably be one of them on the list now. Serving all kinds of seafood (taste later on) in a comfortable ambience, without the shouting and waiting, plenty of parking in what is a rather dying area of Bangsar, what more can you ask for?
The Assam Fish may not look very photogenic and rather fierce too, but the sourish sauce and the firm flesh may change your mind.
The Four Happiness. On the official menu, it is meant to showcase the chef skills in dishing our their creations to wow you away. In this case, everything was executed well but not inspiring. Fried seaweed rolls and stir fry asparagus with prawns are rather common dishes.
I have never been a fan of ordering Roasted Chicken in chinese restaurants. This didn't change my mind either, because it feels as if i am eating chicken rice with the additional prawn crackers. If you are a fan though, this was well cooked, succulent breast meat and juicy drumsticks.
A mixed vegetable stir fry with lots of almond. Crunchy and refreshing.Though seriously, you think we were here just to eat the above?
Welcome the huge crustaceans!
Lai You style. This? Requires lots of carbs to drench the sauce in i.e. fried mantous. Both highlighted the freshness of the crabs; plentiful of meat and no signs of the mushy meat you get with crap crabs.

To finish it off with some complimentary fruits (i think)

As usual when we meet, we can to sample delights from Just Heavenly such as heavily dosed alcoholic chocolates.
[Picture up to your imagination, digging into cake as everyone else were taking pictures]
And a gorgeous chocolate/peanut butter/whatever whatever cake from Le Meridien. Ohh what a killer dessert, deserves not 1, 2 but at least 3 serves before you finally "ohh thats enough, thank you very much".

And what is a dinner without friends? and alcohol as well?

nice food presentation-i think both of the crabs are the star of the night.
I doubt the other patrons will get peace and quiet when we are there though! Hahaha...I think it was a split decision between the lai you and salted egg style of crustaceans. I like the former ;) Bring on 'em mantou's!
I had my fair share of crab last Saturday at Pantai Seafood too... omg!!! my cholesterol level!!!

i've only been here once, for one of their value set thingees... looks like it's worth returning to try their a la carte items... read somewhere that there was a refurbishment here last year, so that customers on one corner can dine at glass tables with water flowing through them?

I think the environment in One Bangsar is better compared to Pantai Seafood... don't you think???
for mantaos.. you can opt for chilly crab where the sauce is both spicy and sour :)
